Match Preview: Sevenoaks Town (H)

The Bulls are back at home this weekend as we take on Sevenoaks Town FC. After securing an impressive point against early season pace-setters Three Bridges, Elliot Powell’s side will be looking to go one better here to maintain the early impressive home form.

Sevenoaks come into this game off the back of back-to-back away defeats and will be looking to put this right at Springfield. The Kent side have had a mixed start to the season, currently sitting in 16th. They have had a tough early schedule but would have hoped for a better start.

Sevenoaks have struggled defensively this season, conceding 31 in the league so far with 10 of those coming in the past 3 matches, an issue that they will need to fix in order to turn the fortunes of their early season.

However when Sevenoaks get it right they can be a very difficult team to play against, they have already had some impressive wins against Sheppey United and Hassocks scoring 7 goals across those two matches.

Jersey meanwhile have made a positive start to life at a higher level sitting 5 points clear of the relegation zone already despite the tough early season schedule. With only 4 home games played so far, the Bulls have managed to use the atmosphere at Springfield to grind out results against teams sitting much higher in the league.

It’s the defensive side of the game that Jersey have got right. At home this season opposing teams have been restricted to just 3 goals, this has provided the platform for these impressive results, something that needs to be maintained in order to continue this home form.

It will be the first meeting between these two sides and with both sides sitting one place apart from each other in the league it is all set up to be an intriguing clash on Saturday.

Make sure to pack out Springfield and get behind the lads, every voice counts in what could be a crucial early season clash.
