Visiting Jersey

Firstly, it’s great that you have decided to follow your team to Jersey, or maybe just wanting to see a match at the most Southerly football ground in the English league system. Whether you are here on a day trip, or staying longer, then enjoy all that our island has to offer. Hopefully the information here will help you plan your trip to our home.

This guide has been kindly provided by the Official Jersey Bulls Supporters Association (Information correct as of December 2025).

Springfield Stadium

The Bulls play their home games at Springfield Stadium, located on the outskirts of St Helier, Jersey’s capital, roughly a mile from the town centre. So, allow 20-30 minutes to walk. The ground is well signposted, and most locals will know where it is, so getting lost on a nine-by-five island like Jersey is unlikely! Alternatively, a number of buses serve the stadium from the main bus station, Liberation Station (the number 20 being one).

Matchday

Tickets are available, in advance, online from here and this is the quickest option when entering the ground. You can however pay at the gate on the day of the match.

There is a fan zone at the ground that usually opens two hours ahead of kick off where you can buy refreshments, your matchday programme and any Bulls merchandise that you might want to pick up.

Plus, of course, meet with fellow supporters. All of the revenue generated by the fan zone and club house goes back into the club so, naturally, we recommend utilising these venues as opposed to third party ones.

Travelling to Jersey

If you have already booked then you will know, but, for those that haven’t, the island is served by a number of airlines from the UK mainland. From the South of England, the main services are from Gatwick and Heathrow with EasyJet and British Airways. Limited service also from Luton with EasyJet and Loganair offering flights from Southampton. If travelling from elsewhere in UK then check your local airports for flights to Jersey.

If you prefer a sea journey, ferry services are provided by DFDS with routes operating from Poole and Portsmouth.

Getting From the Airport

The airport is five miles from St Helier.

Taxis are usually available at the airport but you may need to wait if a number of flights arrive at the same time. Journey from the airport to town will cost c£25 and take about 15 minutes dependent on time and traffic. UBER does not operate on the island.

A number of buses serve the airport and get you into St. Helier. The main one is route 15, that operates a frequent service from early morning to late night, with a bus every 20 minutes at peak times. Alternatively routes 9, 12 and 22 can be taken. Journey time is c35 minutes. If paying by contactless card, a single ticket costs £2.55, £3 if paying cash. The bus company also offers transfer tickets if you need to take more than one bus in succession (for example, to a hotel), so it is worth asking the driver. Day or week tickets can also be purchased at the main bus station if you are staying longer.

If arriving by ferry, the harbour terminal is a short walk from the centre of St. Helier.

Where To Stay and Eating Out

The Island offers a range of accommodation choices from high street favourite to luxury hotels, guest houses to camping, the choice is there. The Visit Jersey website has all the details.

There are plenty of good restaurants and pubs in St. Helier for food and drinks from high street chains to many locally run businesses. In central St. Helier, around King Street, Bath Street, Mulcaster Street and Halkett Street, you’ll find a mix of independent restaurants (particularly Portuguese and Italian). For nightlife, the main area is around Mulcaster Street and Liberation Square where a number of venues are popular in the evenings.

Local Football

If you are interested in football generally then, on a visit, you might be able to take in a Jersey Combination League fixture. This is the island-based football league from where most of the Jersey Bulls players started their football journeys. Check the Jersey Football Association website for fixtures ahead of your visit. The Bulls’ women’s side also play on some Sundays at Springfield so it is worth checking their fixtures also.

A Matter Of Money

Jersey, like the UK, has Sterling as it’s currency however it does issue its own notes and coins. So, if you are paying for anything in cash, and use UK notes to pay, be aware that any change will be given in local notes and coins, occasionally the odd Guernsey one as well. And, yes, we still do have £1 notes as well as coins!

Enjoy Your Stay

Jersey has a lot to offer visitors. Beaches, walks, cycle routes, a varied history from neolithic tombs to World War II bunkers and more, as well as some great places to eat and drink. So, if you are staying more than just the matchday, enjoy whatever you do.
