Great that you’re following your team to Jersey — or just coming to see a match at the most southerly football ground in the English league system. Whether it’s a day trip or a longer stay, we hope this helps you plan your visit to our home.
Springfield Stadium
The Bulls play their home games at Springfield Stadium, Janvrin Road, St Helier, JE2 4LF — on the outskirts of Jersey’s capital, roughly a mile from the town centre (allow 20-30 minutes to walk). The ground is well signposted and most locals will know where it is. A number of buses serve the stadium from the main bus station, Liberation Station — the number 20 being one.
Matchday
Tickets are available in advance, online via our tickets page — the quickest way in. You can also pay at the gate on the day. There’s a fan zone at the ground that usually opens two hours before kick-off, where you can buy refreshments, a matchday programme and Bulls merchandise — and meet fellow supporters. All fan-zone and clubhouse revenue goes back into the club, so we’d always recommend these over third-party venues.
Travelling to Jersey
The island is served by a number of airlines from the UK mainland. From the south of England the main services are from Gatwick and Heathrow with easyJet and British Airways, with limited service from Luton (easyJet) and Southampton (Loganair). If travelling from elsewhere in the UK, check your local airport for flights to Jersey. If you prefer a sea journey, ferry services are provided by DFDS from Poole and Portsmouth.
Getting from the airport
The airport is five miles from St Helier. For on-island transport we recommend our Official Taxi Partner, Ryde — an easy-to-use app similar to Uber (note: Uber does not operate in Jersey). The journey from the airport to town takes around 15 minutes and typically costs about £30. A number of buses also serve the airport: route 15 runs frequently (every 20 minutes at peak) from early until late; routes 9, 12 and 22 are alternatives. Journey time is around 35 minutes; a single is £2.55 by contactless card (£3 cash). If you arrive by ferry, the harbour terminal is a short walk from the centre of St Helier.
Where to stay & eating out
The island offers everything from high-street favourites to luxury hotels, guest houses to camping — the Visit Jersey website has the details. There are plenty of good restaurants and pubs in St Helier; around King Street, Bath Street, Mulcaster Street and Halkett Street you’ll find a mix of independent restaurants (particularly Portuguese and Italian). For nightlife, Mulcaster Street and Liberation Square are the main areas in the evening.
Local football
It’s worth checking whether Jersey Bulls Women are playing at Springfield — they play some home fixtures on Sundays, and it’s a great chance to see the club’s newest team. For football more generally, you might take in a Jersey Combination League fixture — the island league where most of our players started their journeys (check the Jersey FA website for fixtures).
A matter of money
Jersey, like the UK, uses Sterling, but issues its own notes and coins. If you pay in cash with UK notes, any change will be given in local notes and coins (and occasionally the odd Guernsey one). And yes — we still have £1 notes as well as coins.
