Isthmian League South East Division
Deal Town- Lorne Bickley 10'
Jersey travelled to the east coast of Kent for their last away match of the regular season, needing a point to secure a play-off place. Deal were 8th, having faltered after a strong winter run.
Jersey capitalised early: Rai Dos Santos laid off to Jay Giles on the left, whose ball forward found Lorne Bickley in the channel — he evaded the onrushing James Tonkin and two defenders to give Jersey the lead on ten minutes. Tonkin was Deal's hero thereafter, repeatedly denying Dos Santos, Bickley and the substitutes, while at the other end Jamie Watling cleared off the line and Euan Van der Vliet pushed away a Chapman effort from under the bar.
Jersey ground out the vital 1-0 to confirm their play-off place.
