Jersey entertained the already relegated East Grinstead Town who had endured a horrendous season with numerous heavy defeats and already certain to finish in 22nd place (1-3-34 27-146). Jersey had won 5-0 at East Grinstead immediately after Christmas but only after Pierce Roche had saved a penalty when it was still 1-0. Despite only five of the squad that hosted Jersey remaining they had failed to turn their season around.

Jonny Le Quesne and James Carr were still convalescing. Fraser Barlow and Joe Kilshaw started, so swapping roles with Adam Trotter and Miguel Carvalho. Jamie Watling, Stan Dunne and Will Yates were added to the bench, displacing Ewan Brodie.

East Grinstead brought in Omar Folkes for Steve Smith with Dan Perry taking over the captaincy. Ethan Covus and Tyler Grant did not travel as substitutes, so the visitors only had three.

Jersey had the expected comfortable victory but missed the opportunity to significantly improve their goal difference. They went ahead early on when a Jay Giles corner on the right was met beyond the far post by Luke Campbell. He headed back across goal where the ball was hooked away by a defender but not before the junior assistant had signalled a goal.

Rai Dos Santos twice went on charges down the left channel with his first cross palmed away by Harry Howes just behind the onrushing Lorne Bickley and his second hooked onto the top of the bar by Bickley. Just before the break Campbell almost replicated the opening goal before the second goal arrived from another Giles corner. This time it was played to Dos Santos on the right corner of the box, and he thundered the ball into the top right corner before he could be closed down.

Jersey added a third immediately after the interval. Bickley played in Harry Curtis overlapping on the right and his low cross was turned in at the far post by James Sunley. Immediately afterwards both Dos Santos and Barlow were denied by Howes after which play became less frenetic as both benches were fully utilised. Bickley narrowly missed the target just before the hour and in the last five minutes substitutes Carvalho and Dunne were thwarted by Howes.
