Jersey started a run of three away games in nine days at Horley Town, a short drive from Gatwick airport. Horley were in the upper reaches of the division last season but are struggling this time around. They lay 18th with a record of 8-1-18 32-48 with vital matches against relegation rivals Banstead Athletic on the next two Tuesdays.

James Queree, Luke Campbell and Lorne Bickley were all back from holiday, Francis Lekimamati from injury and Miguel Carvalho from his trial with Wolves. Sammy Sutcliffe, Kamen Nafkha, Fraser Barlow and Jack Boyle all dropped to the bench alongside Joe Kilshaw.

Horley won the toss and Jersey kicked off attacking the Training Ground end on a very chilly evening (1C).
Jersey scored four and could have had more but Horley had their opportunities, only to spurn them. Sammy Henia-Kamau put in two early crosses from the left, the first evaded everyone and the second left Trotter with too narrow an angle to seriously threaten George Hyde. Hyde last visited when Horsham Y.M.C.A. conceded ten.
Just before twenty minutes George Membrillera was put through by Owen Ansell only to fluff his lines putting the excellent chance high and wide. Within a minute he had a volleying chance on the right but cut inside only to have his shot blocked.
Five minutes later Jersey opened their account when Jake Prince played a delightful defence splitting pass through to Carvalho who casually finished it off. Before half-time Prince had two opportunities of his own. The first he took wide and Hyde blocked the shot and from the second, a breakaway, he hesitated and was caught.

On the resumption newly introduced substitute Josh Rapson cushion-volleyed wide of the left post and at the other end Frank Tobin had a shot blocked before Henia-Kamau was crowded out after he latched on to the rebound.
Trotter gave Jersey the comfort of a two goal lead before the hour when Jay Giles put Prince in space down the left. He cut in and played the ball across the eighteen yard line to Trotter who dropped a shoulder and thundered home a cross shot.
A nonchalant through ball from Le Quesne gave Prince another chance from which he made no mistake for the third goal. Five minutes later he struck the left post and the follow up from Giles hit a defender on the line. Prince then set up Le Quesne whose nonchalance this time proved costly.
Sutcliffe cleared an Adam Grant shot off the line before Francis Lekimamati rounded off the afternoon with a memorable goal. He picked up in the ball in his own half and waltzed past four defenders before nutmegging Hyde.
