Having hosted V.C.D. for their first home match in the Isthmian League Jersey Bulls almost bookended their season with a visit to Crayford. The match at Springfield was on Jonny Le Quesne's wedding day so with almost a complete team missing Jersey had been satisfied then with a 1-1 draw. In retrospect it was two points dropped with V.C.D. now likely to be relegated with a 7-8-22 52-87 record.

Jonny Le Quesne was missing again today, this time through long term injury, as was James Carr, "crocked" against Crowborough last week. As well as Carr the defence would also be missing Jamie Watling and skipper James Queree who were both unavailable. Harry Curtis, James Sunley and Miguel Carvalho returned from the bench to replace them. Youngster Ewan Brodie was added to the substitutes. Toby Ritzema moved into the back four as the side had to be re-organised and Jay Giles took over the captaincy.

V.C.D. with just four of the players that visited Springfield, brought in Ezra Ikebuasi in place of Tade Ibrahim. The latter was on the bench along with Jack Lowe who displaced Isaac Redman. In a late change Reece Deakin started and Jack Nelson became a substitute as his right knee troubled him during the warm up.

Jersey took the lead when Lorne Bickley put Rai Dos Santos away on the left flank. He galloped clear and evading a tackle from Michael Fenn in the box just managed to keep the ball in on the left byline. From there he pulled it back towards the penalty spot where Bickley arrived to sweep it home with his left foot. The second goal was also Bickley's after a build up started by Bickley on the right. He laid it off to Curtis who in turn passed inside to Luke Watson. Watson's first time pass found Bickley twenty yards out and he burst between central defenders Fenn and Ben Fitchett before curling the ball into the left corner with the outside of his right boot past the motionless Jordan Gillmore.

Ten minutes after the interval Dos Santos looked to break his away league goal drought but Gillmore did well to deny him. Two minutes Gillmore had no chance as Luke Watson played Miguel Carvalho in down the middle. Carvalho side stepped both Alfie Evans and Fenn before picking his spot in the bottom left corner. With the pressure off Jersey introduced their substitutes, including Fraser Barlow who became the third Bull to reach two hundred appearances. Barlow combined with another substitute Joe Kilshaw for the fourth goal. Barlow dispossessed Archie Cassidy on the right and a superbly weighted pass allowed Kilshaw the time to find the same spot as Carvalho.

V.C.D.'s best chance of the match came seven minutes from the end when a Tade Ibrahim cross from the left was flicked on to Ezra Ikebuasi unmarked at the far post. The previously redundant Euan Van Der Vliet was quickly across to close the gap and the ball rebounded off his shins for a corner. With a couple of minutes remaining the already cautioned V.C.D. captain Ben Fitchett clipped Barlow on the edge of the box as he was set free by a clever James Sunley touch. Fitchett therefore departed as the Bulls played out time to cement fourth place in the division.
