Everything you Need to Know about a Jersey Bulls Matchday at Springfield Stadium

Many fans are familiar with the matchday experience at Springfield Stadium, but for those thinking of joining us for the first time this season, we wanted to share a bit about access, opening times and facilities at Springfield Stadium.

Matchday operations are governed by rules set out by a number of bodies and regulation, including but not limited to the Football Association, the Isthmian League, Jersey Property Holdings and the SGSA Green Guide, and we have to adhere to all of them to ensure that every match can be played within the regulations, with the safety of our home and away fans and players, top of mind. Operational requirements differ across fixtures depending on league tier, anticipated attendance, and governing body criteria. The men’s first team operates under mandatory FA Stadium Accreditation ground grading required for a Step 4 club; we aim to maintain the compliant status achieved last year, with an enclosed, audited stadium perimeter during match hours. Fixtures with different attendance levels and league structures are subject to different regulatory thresholds.

Home and away fans can buy Season Tickets or Single Tickets ahead of time for the grandstand or pitchside standing areas online for Jersey Bulls home matches on our website.

Fans wishing to catch the bus to a match can take the 13 or 23 bus from Liberation Station, or anywhere and alight at the Springfield Stadium stop on Janvrin Road, which is just 2-minute walk from the grounds. Buses depart every 30 minutes and you can plan your journey using the LibertyBus website or mobile app. There is no matchday parking onsite, so walking or using the bus is advised.

To comply with the various sets of rules, the perimeter of the ground needs to be secured before the turnstiles open ahead of a match, which involves clearing the stadium precinct of everyone but stadium staff and security personnel.

With this requirement in mind, service at the Flag & Whistle Bar & Café ends prior to turnstiles opening and patrons need to leave the Café prior to the security perimeter being established.

Once the ground has been secured to the satisfaction of officials, the turnstiles, accessible via Janvrin Road, become the only point of access and are opened 60 minutes before kick-off. Once the turnstiles are open, service at the Flag & Whistle Bar & Café can resume immediately at the discretion of the Café team, to cater to the food & drink needs of ticket-holding matchday fans. External doors are closed to anyone without a matchday ticket temporarily during the match window solely to manage stadium access.

Our Fan Zone Bar, and Blue Room Bar open at that point, along with the Club Shop. The Blue Room Bar welcomes patrons from turnstile opening before kick-off and after the final whistle, subject to capacity regulations.

Toilets are housed under the stand, with ladies through the entrance on the turnstile side of the grandstand and Gents on the opposite side of the grandstand. No smoking of any items, including vapes, is permitted within the Springfield Stadium precinct.

Springfield Stadium is partially wheelchair accessible, with accessible ramps into the stadium, a lift and accessible toilets on both the ground floor and in the Blue Room.

After the final whistle, fans can exit through the turnstiles used for entry, or via the exit into the car park and onto Janvrin Road. No re-entry is allowed once fans have exited the stadium precinct, even prior to kick-off.

The work done to improve Springfield Stadium is nearly complete, and we’ll see the scaffolding around the sides of the main stand starting to come down in stages over the next few weeks.

Our team works hard to provide a great day out for fans in a fun, family atmosphere and we look forward to welcoming them, and hopefully some new fans, to the Jersey Bulls family this season.
