JARMA MOHAMED RECEIVES SOMALIA NATIONAL TEAM CALL-UP

Jersey Bulls FC are delighted to announce that first-team player Jarma Mohamed has received another call-up to the Somalia national team ahead of their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying fixtures against Ghana.
Jarma, who joined Jersey Bulls at the beginning of the 2026/27 season, has made a positive impression since arriving at Springfield, demonstrating his strength, ability and quality as part of the squad.

His performances have now been recognised with another opportunity to represent his country on the international stage, as Somalia prepare for two important qualifying fixtures against Ghana.

This latest selection marks another significant moment in Jarma’s footballing journey. Having previously received international recognition from Somalia, he will once again have the opportunity to represent his country and compete at the highest level of international football.
For Jersey Bulls, Jarma’s selection is a proud moment for everyone connected with the club and further recognition of the talent within the first-team squad. His call-up also provides an opportunity for him to take the qualities he has demonstrated in Jersey onto the international stage.

Jersey Bulls manager Elliot Powell said:
“Delighted for Jarma to receive his call up as recognition for his hard work this season. It will be a proud moment for him pulling on his national badge once again and we look forward to supporting him from afar.”

Jersey Bulls Director Ian Horswell added:
“This is an incredibly proud moment for everyone associated with Jersey Bulls Football Club.
For Jarma to become the first player in our club’s history to receive a full senior international call-up whilst representing Jersey Bulls is a fantastic achievement, both for him personally and for our football club.”

Since arriving in Jersey, Jarma has embraced everything about the island and our club. His attitude, commitment and professionalism have been exemplary, and he is a tremendous example to his teammates and the young players coming through our academy.

We are an amateur football club with big ambitions, and seeing one of our players recognised on the international stage is another significant milestone in our journey.

Jarma thoroughly deserves this opportunity, and everyone at Jersey Bulls will be cheering him on as he represents Somalia against Ghana. We couldn’t be prouder of him.”

The Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers represent an important opportunity for Somalia as they look to progress in their campaign, with Ghana providing the opposition in both upcoming fixtures.
Everyone at Jersey Bulls would like to congratulate Jarma on his selection and wish him and the Somalia national team every success in their upcoming AFCON qualifying matches.

We look forward to welcoming him back to Springfield following his international commitments.
